Note if purchasing copy shop printing: The pattern pieces have been split (to fit on the A0 sheets) and will need to be joined together.
Suggested fabrics: For both variations, choose either a light or medium-weight fabric, preferably drapey or with a slight drape. Good options include viscose challis and crepe, cotton lawn, or washed linen.
Fabric requirements: The fabric requirements include a 5% allowance for shrinkage. Note that the fabric consumption may be greater for fabrics with a pattern and for fabrics that need to be cut in one direction.
Shorts: 150 cm (60") wide fabric: 80 - 130 cm (7/8 - 1 3/8 yd) // 115 cm (45") wide fabric: 115 - 175 cm (1 1/4 - 1 7/8 yd).
Trousers: 150 cm (60") wide fabric: 210 - 260 cm (2 1/4 - 2 7/8 yd) // 115 cm (45") wide fabric: 250 - 260 cm (2 3/4 - 2 7/8 yd).
